STILL NOT SURE?

Here are some questions we regularly get asked by prospective franchisees

Question 1: Do I need experience with automatic doors & gates?

No. While technical experience can be helpful, it’s not essential. We provide comprehensive training covering installation, servicing, quoting, and business operations so you can confidently run your Talbot franchise.

Question 2: What training and support do you provide?

All new franchisees complete our initial training program covering technical systems, quoting, safety procedures, and running a service business. Ongoing support includes technical assistance, marketing support, and access to our national network.

Question 3: How much does it cost to start a Talbot franchise?

The investment varies depending on territory size and setup requirements. This typically includes the franchise fee, vehicle setup, tools, and initial marketing to launch your territory successfully.

Question 4: What territories are available?

Currently we have territories available Australia wide.

We offer protected territories based on geographic areas. This means you have the exclusive right to operate the Talbot brand within your territory without competition from other franchisees.

Question 5: What type of work will I be doing?

Most franchisees focus on installation, servicing, and repairs of automatic doors and gate systems. This includes work for commercial buildings, facilities managers, and residential customers.

Question 6: Will you help me find customers?

Yes. We support franchisees with national marketing, website leads, and brand recognition. We also help you build relationships with builders, facilities managers, and property managers in your territory.

Question 7: How quickly can I get started?

Most franchisees can launch within a few weeks once training is completed, equipment is organised, and the business setup is finalised.

Question 8: Can I grow the business beyond just myself?

Absolutely. Many franchisees begin as owner-operators and later expand by hiring technicians, allowing them to grow their revenue and scale their business.

Question 9: What makes Talbot different from other franchises?

Talbot combines a proven business model with a specialised technical industry that has consistent demand. Franchisees benefit from strong supplier relationships, proven systems, and ongoing technical support.

Question 10: Who is the Ideal Talbot franchisee?

We look for motivated people who want to run their own business, take pride in their work, and enjoy building relationships with customers. Many of our franchisees come from technical, trade, or service backgrounds.

About us

Hey, I'm Diarmait

Talbot is a family business I took over and grew with a simple idea: build a network of local technicians who could deliver fast, reliable service for automatic doors and entrance systems.

Over the years we’ve developed a proven system that supports technicians and tradespeople to run their own successful businesses, backed by the Talbot brand.

Today Talbot operates across NSW, VIC and QLD, servicing 1,200+ commercial buildings, with franchise partners supported by:

• Proven systems and technical support

• Training across all major automatic door brands

• A growing national brand with real demand

Now we’re expanding our network and looking for the next generation of Talbot franchise partners.
